SEASON ON CHOICE

2018 is the Year of the Dog on the Chinese zodiac calendar, so it seems fitting a host of canine-inspired graphics have emerged to celebrate.
Dolce & Gabbana has dedicated its S/S 18 collection to this theme, with painterly pooches decorating tees, hoodies, zip-thru sweats and patched trousers, while boutique favourites including Billy Bandit introduce hand-rendered prints in a sporty retro palette with medal-adorned cycling dogs.

Cool kids' brand Average has also joined in the theme with this limited-edition long-sleeved T-shirt featuring a cartoon-style pug in traditional colours of red and gold.

SEASON OF CHOICE

Organic materials lend a beachcomber aesthetic to assortments, with natural fibres such as raffia and rope updating bags and sandals.

Customisation themes carry over from last season, with a hand-drawn aesthetic injecting newness.

Global and political movements evolve previous lighthearted slogans into a statement-making direction.

Ongoing 1990s and building 2000s influences evolve festival styling away from bohemian references, embracing urban festival looks.

SEASON OF CHOICE

A rucksack style to tap into ongoing tastes for the outdoors, this bag is sturdily built and functional, though it's more likely to be carried as a statement piece in the city than used for actual trekking.

Climbing and mountaineering hardware provide detail inspiration for carabiner clips, adjustment straps and laddered webbing to attach additional gear.

Ideal in classic heritage and military colours.
